We’re hosting a special Farrier Clinic at the Donkey Sanctuary, designed specifically for donkey owners to ask questions, learn, and build confidence around donkey-specific hoof care.

Luke and Franny have started on arthritis meds to help keep them comfortable through the colder months. Their treatment began a little early because of the chill. They are doing well!
Luke lives in our Special Care herd, while Franny enjoys life with the minis and both are thriving. #DonkeyCare

Molly has been a bit stiff in her hind end and our vet recommends some Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy for her. VSM, like chiropractic care in humans, helps improve mobility and relieve discomfort so it's perfect for a hinny like Molly who needs a little extra TLC.

Jesse is a 30-year-old pinto standard jennet who came to us in 2015.
Recently, she has been treated for acute laminitis, a painful condition affecting her hooves. With hoof care and plenty of TLC, Jesse is on the road to recovery!

When Noodle and Nacho arrived, they were thought to be about 20 yrs old. But, thanks to recent dental exams, we know that Noodle is about 12 and Nacho is around 13!
