Good morning. Haven't listened to this in donkeys years. The production sounds so 80s, but it's got some absolutely stunning songs on it and just the right icy city sound for the first cold morning. Autumn is on its way.

I’m #nowplaying John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s 1980 album ‘Double Fantasy’.

Look, I should really like this album. This issue is that I’ve never been particularly enamoured by it - despite several attempts to reappraise it.

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll,
No longer riding on the merry-go-round,
I just had to let it go.

I did something I don't normally do. I got handwritten lyrics for "Starting Over". 11 year old me would be crying right now. "Double Fantasy" was the first XMAS present my Dad bought my Mom as teenagers. 🥹💙

Há 45 anos chegava “Double Fantasy”!

Qual a sua canção predileta deste álbum de estúdio de John Lennon e Yoko Ono, que com a morte do beatle menos de um mês depois, tivera suas vendas catapultadas às alturas?

This song will never cease to feel fresh to me. Even as I feel myself growing older the more I hear it. Remember hearing it a lot soon after John’s death. #Happy43rdBirthday #Doublefantasy youtu.be/dfbAAiL5ec8?...
