Ginger and allspice get no love?
Social Media post by Dr. Will Cole: @drwillcole Pumpkin everything season is here. And by “pumpkin” | mean sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and more sugar. Have you ever smelled an inside of a pumpkin? It smells like an old sweaty cast. You don’t like pumpkin, you like a cinnamon toast crunch latte.

I wish people realized that whimsy was medicine... Coloring books Building a blanket fort Chasing fireflies at dusk Blowing bubbles in the yard Jumping in puddles after rain Dancing like no one's watching Swinging on playground swings Laughing until your belly hurts Playing with your pet like a kid Having a silly dance party alone Finger painting with messy hands Lying in the grass watching clouds Reclaiming childlike playfulness regulates the nervous system, clears stored trauma, lowers inflammation and heals your inner child.

I wish people would do more nervous system "snacks"... Humming Hug yourself Aromatheraphy Gentle shaking Longer exhales Peripheral vision Body scan pause Morning sunlight Weighted blanket Slow mindful walk Warm hand on heart Showering in the dark JOMO (joy of missing out) Quality time with a kind person Tiny, repeatable micro-doses to calm your body on a cellular level.
