I don't! I rigorously plan these, and use a top-down camera rig connected to a computer with Dragonframe, a stop motion software. That way I can see a live-feed of my hands drawing on the screen, that I can overlay with the previous frame, or rulers, guides, rough animation etc.

extremely grateful for the support so far. what i really need to get started is dragonframe software and a lighting/camera mount which will be around $400-450. then i can actually produce a reel and start to bring magic back into the world
ok i m gonna do this but there is a lot of shit i need to get first, so if you want to help me make some animation and return to the only thing I was ever truly passionate about in my life, consider contributing here!

Glad I avoided ToonBoom, I don't remember what it was at the time, but something about them rubber me the wrong way. I went with TVPaint, and DragonFrame.
Update to the situation - if you wanted a perpetual license, you have 2.5 DAYS to get it before the option is removed forever.
There will be no option to upgrade unless you're paying additionally for silver/gold support, and then only good for one upgrade
