But I hope The Jet retains. Not normally a fans of long reigns but I think The jet should get one. My dream scenario is Ilya Dragonov coming in and immediately targeting the (Fuck)Don Callis Family and going through them all leading to an epic showdown with The Jet for the TNT Title #AEW #wrestlesky

Does AEW need Ilja Dragonov? No. Should they sign him anyway? Absolutely. This is one instance where I think it’s okay to add to their bloated roster.

Dragonov would be a good addition to #AEW. Something something bloated roster…whatever. If a guy’s a good fit, he’s a good fit. Seems to have locker room support. Look what Ciampa has done! No reason Ilya can’t do the same. Could also work ROH.

Sometimes WWE is very last minute, other times plans are long term.
I'm sure we'll find out if Brock eating up Dragonov was just the usual WWE big man/smaller man booking or if it played a role in his decision or WWE anticipated his departure many months ago and that was the write off.

That's a good point. AEW is also investing time in Fletcher, Knight, Bailey, et al. Certainly I can see Dragonov as an investment in the future.
