Trip to Midlands for funeral and called in draycote water to see the ferruginous duck and got nice close views in the end, wouldn't of found it without Bob Hazel's help. #UKBirding. @draycotebirding. @westmidsbirding.

Excellent day-trip to Bryher with @sbbuckingham & @howardjolliffe for Britain's 4th Blackburnian Warbler. Thank you so much John @Draycotebirding. Caught up with my long time mentor, friend, former Sunbird Director and all round birding legend Bryan Bland too! @RareBirdAlertUK

Nice to catch up with the juvenile Shag @ Draycote Water this afternoon after two training laps of the reservoir (5 miles per lap). A few adult and juv Common Terns and plenty of Little Egrets about. @Draycotebirding

Managed four laps (total 20 miles) of Draycote Water this morning for the first time. Three weeks to go to my first marathon at Abingdon. Nice views of juvenile Black Tern off Farnborough Bank, often close in. Managed a few pics after the run! @Draycotebirding

Awesome views of the two juvenile Great Northern Divers at Draycote Water today, often really close in, fishing almost continuously. Four Shags and six Red-crested Pochards also present & a Firecrest appeared long enough for some poor record shots. @Draycotebirding @BirdGuides

Juv Black Tern at Draycote Water late morning, a good spot whilst running two loops of the Reservoir 😀. Very close up views of the Ruddy Shelduck. Hobby chasing House Martins, 2 Common Sandpipers and about 15 Yellow Wagtails. @Draycotebirding @WestMidBirdClub

Highlights from extremely cold and sunny Draycote Water this morning were gleaming Goldeneye and Goosander close-up, Lapwings heading west, fairly distant Long-tailed Duck & very distant Great Northern Diver. @bobhazell @Draycotebirding
