On the #Dribbblification of UX: high-fidelity mockups and templates have become 'the product', over usable working software. #FigmaCommunity and 'supafast' design influencers are moulding professionals optimising for peer approval over shipped outcomes. This malpractice will have dire consequences.

Dribbblification further separates UI design from implementation. Social ranking reward pretty artefacts, not collaborative processes. Community signals teach 'tools and assets' rather than systems thinking and trade-offs. UX Design's scope will shift even further away from problem-solving.

Imagine how much worse this can get when the loop closes on #FigmaCommunity premium marketplace and #FigmaAI generated slop.

#Dribbblification

I call it the Dribbblification of UX. Everything ne wants a shiny fucking sample for their portfolio without understanding the first thing about cognitive processes or how human brains organize and perceive information.

I’ve had to deal with such designers and it was an absolute nightmare.

Dribbblification creates designers who will never pair with a developer to work through technical constraints. Who will learn that iteration means creating another Figma version rather than deploying and testing with real users. Who will measure success by how work LOOKS rather than PERFORMS.

I put alternative in quotes semi-sarcastically. I think processes like this are the future and a potential solution to many problems from dribbblification to designer burnout.

Same sentiments here. My iPhone 11 is still doing fine. The cameras are at a level where I would have to get really serious about photo-/videography to want more.

Still not on iOS 26, for that I am too annoyed at Apple’s UI dribbblification.

I used to watch all the keynotes & WWDC until 2022-ish.
