We even buy the expensive “sweetest batch” that driscolls engineered (and now other producers have copied) because he doesn’t ask for much food wise, and so we do whatever we can.

Anyway, I follow international food shipping via blueberries.

And grocers - at least here in Ontario - continue to stock the shelves with Driscolls.

I stopped eating Driscolls berries 2 years ago. I trust nothing coming out of the states right now.

Do not eat Driscolls berries. They are US owned and the reason ALP are prepared to give us cancer and worse things than cancer.
I hit Google yesterday to find out if the authorities had cleaned up the amount of poisonous pesticides on berries, which I love and which, unpoisoned, are so good for us. First up? This:

'Fight erupts over 500-fold increase in "forever chemicals"'

Fight erupts over 500-fold increase of 'forever chemical' on berries
A proposal to increase how much pesticide residue is allowed on berries has angered anti-pesticide campaigners, who say the "forever chemical" poses too great a risk.

Especially Driscolls products.

gotta be a german word for remembering how good the wild woods blackberries you grew up with were with a proustian clarity that actually stops you in the middle of the sidewalk, buying some driscolls from the store in desperation, and being unsurprisingly disappointed

Driscolls are the worst. I love my berries, and Canadian grown (and organic!) are far superior. Just stick to the boycott. Be safe.

#Driscolls, #USA Berries in 2022-2024 removes their #chemicalmonitoring system for #Canada because it wanted to increase sales and wouldn’t meet CDN standards.

#Whistleblower litigation is underway after he reported #pesticide and #fungicide exceeded allowable #safestandards. #cdnpoli

To me, what is as distressing as the shipment of high-pesticide berries to Canada, is that the CFIA did absolutely nothing to protect us or punish Driscoll’s.

Unacceptable.

Boycott Driscolls. Even in summer when *some* of their berries are grown in Canada. They are a terrible company.
