They are in Tacoma. The conditions are inhumane, but they are striving to be hopeful.
They are heartened by Spokane community's turnout 6/11.
They are not the only ones needing our help—others incarcerated can't contact their loved ones.

CESAR and JOSWAR UPDATE
César and Joswar are in the Tacoma Detention Facility. They entered the US legally under humanitarian parole and both applied for asylum on time. I was also César's guardian under the State's vulnerable youth guardianship program.
Redacted and Redacted and myself have each agreed to sponsor them. We have also posted necessary paperwork so if they need bond we will post whatever money is necessary.
Friday they were able to visit with their lawyer from Latinos en Spokane and Redacted Friday night. Redacted from Latinos en Spokane was also able to see them Saturday (and speak to them Sunday).
They are sad, scared, and are clear that the conditions have been inhumane. Visiting them in person has been difficult for those involved. Redacted let me know Friday night was her hardest day ever. To see your boys behind jail and crying.....so inhumane.
They saw their story on the news and are so grateful that people are standing up for them. They see that they also have a larger purpose and want to get out so they can tell more people their story.
The continue to amaze Redacted and I. They have found two individuals in detention already and with the help Redacted put them in touch with family. Other families connected all because of these amazing humans.
We are working with their lawyer and federal representatives to get them out ASAP. Because of everyone who SHOWED UP and ACTED we have HOPE.

CESAR called last night at 8:30. Redacted speaks Spanish but not well enough to act as a translator. Some amazing friends... Redacted and Redacted helped us.
Cesar is amazing but his voice was sad but strong at the same time. I cannot count the times he said he was thankful and appreciative to everyone acting to release him and thinking of him and Joswar.
The phones inside detention are awful. Cesar said the food was awful with small portions and no salt! He is able to see Joswar from his cell but unable to speak to him. The bed is awful.
We got him to laugh out loud once and he wants to come home so we can celebrate him birthday together.

They asked me to let you all know that they say THANK YOU! They were surprised to see everyone that showed up Wednesday. When they were in Spokane, an agent told them, "We wouldn't shipped you all a long time ago but all that trash happening out there is your fault and is delaying us." ![That same day they got detained they met Redacted. He got put on the same block as Joswar. His attorney dropped his Case out of no where and left him with no contacts or even telling his wife where he was at. Joswar called and asked me to call Redacted's wife's work to let her know he was being detained in Tacoma. I was able to get a hold of her and pass on the message to her and I got the phone number and I gave it to Joswar to give to the gentleman. I'm happy to announce they have now communicated and are in communication, all thanks to Joswar and Cesar for helping them out.
