Seán Binder, who grew up in Ireland, is a humanitarian worker who volunteered as a sea rescuer in Greece. For that he was wrongly charged with serious crimes and faces 20 years in prison when he goes on trial tomorrow.

Dann wird der Richter entscheiden, ob wir in die Hauptverhandlung gehen oder nicht.
Manchmal gönne ich mir den Luxus und stell mir vor, er entscheidet sich dagegen. Keine Hauptverhandlung....

Solidarity wins! Am Donnerstag wurden 24 humanitäre Helfer*innen in Griechenland freigesprochen. Die griechische Justiz warf den Angeklagten zuvor unter anderem Beihilfe zur illegalen Einreise, Mitgliedschaft in einer kriminellen Organisation und Geldwäsche vor. Bis zu 20 Jahre Haft drohte ihnen.

We are now entering an important phase at court.
Soon the judge will decide if we go to main trial or not.
Tomorrow we will make statements in the courtroom that clearly show that all allegations are wrong.

That the Trump admin would prosecute a sitting mayor wanting to enter a federal facility IN HIS OWN CITY, while freeing Jan 6 convicts who DID storm federal property, assault capitol police, vandalize property, smear feces is so enraging it's hard to process.
