Mushrooms are agents of transformation, and this card symbolizes connection to mystery and spiritual connection that can often lead there. The hollow tree in the background and the frog only increase this idea. But we must be honest and authentic in this pursuit. There are many charlatans and posers in the world in general, and our spiritual communities are not immune.

Today is the New Moon (what our group calls Dark Moon), generally considered a good time to start something and for powerful magic. And this morning I drew these three cards. Yarrow speaks to fidelity and reviewing the status of things. Mandrake may have some startling folklore, but it represents fertility and wealth. Now, the main card for today is The Banes, a potent mix of plants bringing power and unexpected help.

Running a tad late today, and I will likely be all over the place this week. I have many tasks to do, among them things to prepare for my ordination this Saturday as a Priestess of the Grail. This has been a long time coming and I'm excited, but of course there is so much going on right now that prioritization will have to be, well, a priority.

It's interesting that most of this week, the cards have leaned into taking careful action. Today, we get a rest with Chamomile, but it might be the kind of rest that is more about recharging our inspiration than our batteries. To sustain ourselves as we head toward a goal, taking rests is important not to burn out and lose sight of why you are doing it to begin with.

These wonderful plants are all over my yard! I am always reminded of the friend who taught me there were medicinal and not just weeds, so I view them fondly. They often grow where we don't want them, but they are examples of being resilient no matter how much you are walked on. Life is rarely easy, and it is often difficult.

Alright, I'm hoping things will settle down and I can get back into the rhythm of posting in the morning. For those who don't know, my significant other works at a school, so he's been off for a few days before summer school started and I get distracted from my normal routine. Today, we are seeing the Celtic Bean, a type of Fava bean, which can represent familial patterns that need embraced or perhaps broken, something returning into our lives that we thought was done.

It's difficult to slow down and honor our changes of directions nowadays. The world is full of a hurry-hurry mentality. This card is here to remind us that changes can be significant, and honoring them helps us navigate changes smoothly and with a healthy mindset. Entering a new home? Maybe take time to say goodbye to the old one, and do a cleansing of the new space.

This might seem like an odd thing to say - that your warrior self and your creative self will have to work together. But being a warrior is not always literal. First, how are you a warrior? Second, what is your creative outlet? Does one need to support the other? Does your warrior self need to fight for time or resources for you creativity?

Earlier this week, we had The Guardian, which is the interpretation of the Devil for the Wildwood Tarot. Today, we have a very different set of Guardians. These three sacred trees work together to strengthen the immune system. Another interpretation is that it might be time to work within a group to achieve your goal. Personally, I've been feeling that for a couple months.
