Of course Calathea is a reflection of myself. I'm a writer, and she's my character. There are aspects of her that are not me at all, and we live totally different lives, but there are parts of her story that I've since realized are ways of coping with elements of myself that I hate/love.

The only thing I changed since her creation was that I made her left eye one shade lighter (for story reasons). Other than that, she's still the same girl she's always been.

As a Lominsan native, Calathea is well acquainted with every curse under the sun. From the stereotypical "godsdammit," "shite," and "rotten cunt," all the way down to swearing "by the fuckin' Navigator," she's said it all. (And probably invented a few of her own as well!)
