After trekking to the Copper/Bronze age stone circle at Duddo, it was disappointing to find no virgins to sacrifice. So we plodded on to the village of Etal & The Black Bull, purveyors of fine ales & good food. Pints of Durty Brewing's "Gold Run" & Firebrick's "Pagan Queen" went down very well. 😋

Auf der Insel wimmelt es von alten Steinen, nach den römischen jetzt die keltischen. Besucht wird der Steinkreis von Duddo. Ursprünglich 7, wurde er nach den 4 verbliebenen "Duddo 4 Stones" benannt, bis ein fünfter wiederaufgestellt wurde: "Duddo 5 Stones" #RanagoesScotland

So I did haul myself out of my bed and see the sun up on Lindisfarne Causeway. Sadly the morris weren't there this year - probably short of dancers.
Currently up at Duddo stones, enjoying the sun and watching the frosty bits melt, while listening to the skylarks.
