San Martino ai Monti ist eine der ältesten Kirchen Roms. Spektakulär die Ausgrabungen im Untergeschoss. Aber im Kirchenraum gibt es auch eine Sensation: Landschaftsbilder des Italo-Franzosen Gaspard Dughet (um 1640), auf denen die Religion vollkommen in den Hintergrund tritt.

Los jardines fueron diseñados Henry Hoare II, propietario del lugar durante el siglo XVIII y coleccionista de obras de Gaspart Dughet, Nicolas Poussin y Claude Lorrain. En especial, una pintura de éste último pintor italiano y que retrata el descenso de Eneas al inframundo, inspiran los jardines.

Los jardines fueron diseñados Henry Hoare II, propietario del lugar durante el siglo XVIII y coleccionista de obras de Gaspart Dughet, Nicolas Poussin y Claude Lorrain. En especial, una pintura de éste último pintor italiano y que retrata el descenso de Eneas al inframundo, inspiran los jardines.
