A periodic reminder that you can live without "modern" tech and do fine. I have never owned a smart phone and am doing great. Still using a circa 2006 Intuos 3. Still driving a 2009 Nissan Versa with knobs n everything; still listening to CDs.

if you ever need a pick-me-up, may I recommend the "dumbphones" subreddit, specifically the EDC ("everyday carry") tag/flair, where people state their age & job and dump their bag and photograph its contents, and it's everything I, too, lugged around at their age www.reddit.com/r/dumbphones...
Then they mentioned longing for a return to "blob" computer objects. I told them gen Z is already on it: dumb devices, friendly organic shapes, translucent shells. "Part of this is because of the return of '70s Italian design during the pandemic," I said pointedly, "these soft organic shapes"
