Explorer Tom at Phoenix Park

Lads, Dublin is weird. Phoenix Park is huge and the deer are rude. The Phoenix Monument looks like burnt toast. Saint Jude’s Church is basically a tower on tour. Kilmainham Gaol had a goat boss. Dunsink Observatory needs wellies. Come find out.

Fingal councillors have approved a revised plan for the new Dunsink town. Changes include a buffer aimed at reducing the project's impact on neighbouring Finglas – and density reductions expected to shave off thousands of homes.

Would love to see it. I’m fairly obsessed with our Moon. Went to visit Dunsink observatory last night in fact but sadly it was cloudy; and the night before it had been beautifully clear!

I subscribe to @dublininquirer.com and it is worth it, and the coverage of the Dunsink planning meeting is heroic. Slow delivery of housing isn't just down to the State and money, sometimes well-intentioned fucking idiots are the problem.

Fingal CoCo special meeting on plans for new town in Dunsink is on.

Cllrs discussing potential amendments to plans.

To protect biodiversity, maybe don't widen Dunsink Lane, but build a second parallel road?

Also, is a mammal underpass is sufficient for all, or would badgers need their own?

Literally just realised the irony of this celebration of mathematical discovery, made part way through a 11 km walk (Dunsink to @ria.ie ), as OpenAI release LLM answers to mathematical problems.

My specific memories were of the small newsagents around the dunsink area with a tiptop juice or a small bottle of cadet.

Probably went to that shop too. Was it across from Superquinn (as it would have back then)?
