Gov. Gavin Newsom et al are parroting billionaire propaganda in favor of Prop 42 by implying that the retirement savings of ordinary Californians are under threat. Total BS. The goal of the measure is to pre-empt any future state tax on the vast, excessive, untaxed wealth of tech moguls. Period.

One of the great ironies of our wrecked landscapes is that, while the number one problem is often chronic overgrazing (farmed cattle, sheep, wild deer, goats...), there's also serious dysfunction due to the lack of ecological disturbance from wild megaherbivores.
