An Airbus Helicopters EC175 B on the Elgin Oil Platform suffered a serious incident on Feb 17, 2023. A tail rotor gearbox chip warning led to its shutdown amidst strong winds. A failed rotor brake prevented full rotor stop, and mooring difficulties were encountered.
