Whenever I read Justin Webb I remember the BBC stopped someone from hosting a podcast that was basically “I like heat pumps - they’re just neat!” because it was too political for a presenter
The problem with Justin Webb’s position at the BBC is not just his flagrant bias, or his writing for the Mail, or his audible prejudices, it’s that all those things make him embarrassingly bad at analysing politics. “Left = firebrand = too woke = trouble for Dems” is about his level

Remember that law Rubio used to try to kick out students for pro-Palestine op-eds and that sort of thing as detrimental to US foreign policy? This is the type of scenario that law's actually for. It's so we don't have to play host to deposed dictators and crackpot fake governments-in-exile, etc.

A certain number of an older generation of professors outright saw relationships with co-eds as one of the perks of the job.
as a young campus antirape activist, a bunch of us fought for a blanket ban on relationships between professors and students. you'd be depressed by the number of older men who found this OUTRAGEOUS. the idea of changing their own behavior for the sake of a greater good is OFFENSIVE to them
