I would like to extend my sincere thanks to staff working in Domestic & Support Services, Linen & Decontamination Services, Logistics, including Portering, Grounds, Transport, Warehouse and Security & Site Services, Catering, Maintenance & Technical Services, Business Services & Performance, Sustainability & F&E Learning & Development. Every day, you play a critical role in supporting patient care and staff wellbeing—often behind the scenes, but always making a difference. From maintaining safe environments and essential infrastructure, to providing vital support services that enable clinical teams to do their jobs, your professionalism and commitment are fundamental to how we operate. This national day gives us the chance to pause and say thank you, and to recognise the pride, skill and dedication that colleagues across Estates & Facilities bring to their roles. I encourage managers and teams to take time to acknowledge and celebrate colleagues locally, and to recognise the impact of your work within services and communities.
