Although similar in appearance to a #BlackHole, my cappuccino at the Vienna Airport was entirely foam. No coffee at all. This is my last #EGU19 tweet. That is all.

Inspired by @MCeeP I got a coffee in the train. On my walk to the bistro, I glanced at at least 5 linux laptops, 2 open #latex editors, 3 scientific plots, 8 poster tubes, and bumped into @HMuellerSchmied. So what about a discount for #EGU19 next year @DB_Bahn? @PKuipersMunneke

Not that I have much time to enjoy it, I still need to work on my #EGU19 #PICO. This includes some remote work with potential network outage, so I'm patting myself on the back for investing time to learn basic #tmux combined with a remote Jupyter session.

It's not just GIA you're seeing in vertical land motion. Hydrological loading may cause different trends over different periods #G3.3 care must be taken to extrapolate backwards #EGU19 @FrederikseT

Benjamin Gutknecht (@geophysx) from @tudresden_de shows that when you split up sea level change into different contributions, you see that glaciers and ice caps contribute consistently to the trend but also hydrology introduces a seasonal pulsation in sea level. @geophysx #EGU19

The @esa_cryosat mission produces a dense groundtrack covering the entire Southern Ocean. Instead of using gridded products, @ErikMackie uses the along-track data to compute dynamic topography along track. #EGU19
