Eleven foreign students at the University of Texas, El Paso have had their visas cancelled by the Department of Homeland Security. These cancellations are part of the nationwide attack on campus activism and international students studying in the. U.S.

My story for the El Paso Times.
DHS revokes visas for Borderland foreign students, as nationwide crackdown expands
The Trump administrations nationwide crackdown on students has expanded to the Borderland. At least a dozen students at UTEP and EPCC are affected

Jesse Mulligan on RNZ afternoons, talked to a person from the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C. My ears pricked up when she said humans are made to be in family groups. The EPCC is a RW Judeo-Christian think tank. None of this bias was mentioned in the interview. #nzpol

Huge huge thanks to @markgbeckett.bsky.social and all the ACF EPCC team for hosting me. We also had the best bike ride along the Roslin bike path to get there - gorgeous morning, birds singing. Only got slightly lost on the way home 😂

A great way to close the #PlantWallK26 days in Prague! The EPCC satellite meeting wrapped up yesterday with a full day of scientific presentations and stimulating discussions on plant cytoskeleton. Many thanks to all contributors and participants, it was a pleasure to see the community in action.

The EPCC's director is ex-Heritage Foundation and the EPCC itself has a seat on the advisory board for Project 2025. The ostensible subject matter (dangers of social media algorithms for kids) doesn't seem objectionable, but the interviewee, Clare Morrell, is a trans-panic weirdo. Odd choice.

i'm going to try to sign them up for swimming lessons starting in october because they're finally old enough that EPCC doesn't require a 1:1 adult:child ratio anymore and if pre-penguin is during naptime i'm going to light something on fire

i do like that you're thinking about getting us another community center tho! i see you! we deserve way more art options, EPCC can't do pottery and they barely have dance, they have like, Sweatin' to the Oldies but i want beginners tap 5-8y etc like they have in SW

A life altering decision was enrolling at EPCC when I was 28 years old who, until then, had been working construction for a decade.

Back today to speak with students.

47 minutes on the blue line, baby! that's not that bad! that is not that bad! and 16 of that is walking to the blue line, if we could hop on e-bikes at EPCC we could cut that down to like 37!
