The spires of Tres Monjas form part of the Chile/ Argentina border. So we live less than 5k from Argentina 😀. That being said, the official border crossing is 27k away. Nearby Argentinian attractions include the adorable Welsh town of Trevelin, Los Alerces National Park, La Hoya Ski Area, & Esquel.

Me cuenta mi hermana (desde Esquel) que el kilombo de los incendios en Chubut arranca con motivos en el anterior gobierno provincial, responsable de regalarle terrenos a algunos amigotes, con título y todo. Cuestión que las tierras, con comunidades incluidas, está "regalada" a los amigos de turno.

Habló mi tía en la audiencia pública por la Ley de Glaciares y a mi me llena de orgullo. Ella es parte de la Asamblea Autoconvocada por el "No a la Mina" de Esquel y parte de la APDH de la regional Esquel-Trevelin, ex delegada de ATE Chubut. Fue una gran exposición, la verdad.

Good morning friends. Our llamas and alpacas are disappointed that the snow line has yet to reach the valley. They love snow! It IS getting closer though. La Hoya, our nearest resort, located 75 minutes across the border in Esquel, Argentina, should open in a few days 😁.
