In 1911 the Hamlet Lane School, now known as Glebe Junior School, in South Normanton, celebrated Christmas with plum puddings made by staff and pupils, bringing some #ChristmasSparkle to the school.

Today we celebrate Father Christmas himself on St. Nicholas Day. Here he is arriving in Derby in 1989. All of us must have seen #Santa at one time or another but how many of us can say we’ve seen him riding in a giant roller skate!
