FINAL post on the Strength In Numbers early vote blog, with the data from the final in-person early voting day in Florida. Democrats posted their highest share of early voters since 2018.
The only hope for Republicans is a massive shift to voting on Elec Day

Not seeing anything indicating that the inference from early voting, that GOP turnout is way down, ISN'T applying to Elec Day voters as well. Early but there's currently no Republican Election Day surge making up for their decline in early voting. FL numbers:

I don't know how many times I have to say this to the early vote skeptics. Relative levels of partisan interest in early voting carry through to Election Day. The early vote is not just "cannibalism" of voters who would have voted anyway

First result of the night: the early/mail vote results for Hamilton County, IN. In 2024 Harris won the early vote there by 1.6%. The Dem candidate in the House race won the early vote tonight by 27 pts.
The first polls are closed, and we now enter the phase of the election where we can wildly overreact to minute morsels of actual election results. Buckle up.

Early voting is over in Georgia. 2.8 million people have voted.

53% are white and 32% are Black.
That compares to 58% and 26% in 2024 early, and 57% and 29% in 2022 early.
Monstrous turnout today, final day of GA EV demos:
White: 49.1%
Black: 32.4%

Near-final EV cumulative:
White: 52.7%
Black: 31.6%

This remarkable early clock watch, made in the 1580s by Hans Kosh of Munich, a true marvel of early horology, is currently on display at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England.

Early voting was the canary in the coal mine and its still singing
I'll be writing more about this later, but the fact that there are no ICE (or other armed) federal agents at the polls and no federal takeover of elections is not because we are "lucky" or our system is "strong:" it took a ton of hard work from lawyers, election administrators and civil society.
