The police chief briefed the board on an Aug. 15 head‑on crash that resulted in two on‑scene deaths, a series of catalytic‑converter thefts (six reported), and targeted speed‑enforcement efforts that produced 79 citations across multiple locations.

Chief reported a search warrant at Heatherwood Apartments that led to arrests and seizure of about 3,400 fentanyl tablets, roughly 3 pounds of marijuana, 200+ Xanax tablets and about $13,000; department also completed multiple speed studies and issued 45 speeding citations during targeted enforcement.
