✅ This was part of a wider programme, which has replaced 11 ageing culverts, ensuring the system continues to protect land and communities

Last night, #EastSuffolkWMB carried out its annual trial deployment of the temporary flood barrier in Lowestoft, working with East Suffolk Council and ABP. The night-time exercise went smoothly, helping ensure teams are ready to respond when needed.

After months of a dry riverbed, water is flowing through the River Deben at Ufford once again. 💧

Last month at Horsey Gap ☀️Our coastal engineering team repainted Navigation Markers for the Environment Agency, working through tricky tidal conditions to get the job done 💪

🌿 #EastSuffolkWMB have installed 4 #leakydams in Boxford’s upper surface water catchment, on behalf #SuffolkCountyCouncil

#ReclaimtheRain, together with #SCC’s Flood & Water Team, will be monitoring the outcomes to demonstrate the positive impact of these leaky dams across the catchment

In April 2025 the East Suffolk WMB Coastal Team designed and delivered new access steps down to the beach at Kessingland This important work supports public safety along our coastline and we’re proud to play our part in improving access for both locals and holidaymakers alike. Installation was assisted with the use of a crawler crane! Delivered on behalf of East Suffolk Council.
