I grew up in East Wenatchee, Washington, & attended school in the Eastmont School District. I graduated from high school in 1969 (I'm an old lady!).
While the Quincy and Wenatchee school districts report steady attendance, the Eastmont School District has seen a noticeable drop among migrant students since the start of the school year.

My E line down MacArthur (elevated in the median of 580 then subway from Eastmont to San Leandro via Bancroft is pretty popular on Subway builder! Gets 90,000 weekday riders. Too bad Oakland doesnt advocate for itself IRL for an obvious corridor like this.

Despite continuing to post eviction notices--including one for an encampment across the street from Eastmont Mall that begins this week--I confirmed with the City today that EAT stopped publishing encampment clean up and closure schedules in January.

I work at the Eastmont mall in Oakland. A few years ago our building had a rat infestation big enough to hit local news. So this year I decided to dress up as an Eastmont rat, complete with an employee badge and all. Happy Halloween, everyone!
