• check out @scbwi.bsky.social
• check out the Business and Professional Development for Editors group on FB
• write your memoir first, you can worry about restructuring it later
• check out Developmental Editing by Scott Norton

• you can’t predict what’s going to be the trendy genre five years from now
• only a tiny fraction of authors become bestsellers so write *your* book, there are readers who will love it
• understand the stages of editing and be realistic about what your MS is ready for
