This medieval Devil grotesque on St. Mary the Virgin church in Edstaston. The church dates from 1150. Despite being placed to ward away evil spirits, I just love his silly little face and find him delightful. ♥️

I wouldn't even know where to begin with today's long-awaited visit to St Mary's Edstaston... actually I would: the doors 🤯 This beautiful Norman chapel is simply stunning! And we haven't even got to the medieval wall art...
