Is it better to teach about sustainability issues (causes and consequences), or should we focus on the solutions?

Haven't versions of A.I./algorithms always been used for a while now? Always to hasten production, but at the cost of critical thinking? e.g. Spellcheck. Or the standard english essay:
-Intro incl main arguments
-Body of paragraphs expanding on each
-Summary conclusion.
