Facts: A #WhiteSupremacist mob shot at Black farmers, & they returned fire in self-defense. The White governor called U.S. Army for back-up. When it was over, historical estimates range from 100 to 800 Black Americans killed. 67 survivors were indicted for inciting violence.

A brutal racist massacre of more than 200 Black sharecroppers, murdered by mobs of whites and federal troops, for daring to join a union. Hundreds more were arrested and tortured.
