i gotta learn to respect my eldars
Monday spent with one of the forgotten Warhammer 40k games - Rites of War, from 1999. It is a rather rare case when our protagonists-of-choice are not Spess Marines, but pointy-eared elf placeholders: Eldars! And with this unique 2nd/3rd edition colorful look #WH40K #Eldars #Strategy #Retro

Visually it was kind of outdated in 1999, yes, but is also highly stylish (in a way only 2nd edition Eldars can be ;) ), creating this vibe consistently - already in the main menu and accross all missions.

Regarding the choice of enemies our lovely Eldars have to face... well, we have the Imperial Guard, Space Marines, some Sisters of Battle (really sparce, but it is, I think, the first appearance of them in any WH40 related game) and finally, Genestealers/Tyranids (also older, cool look)

I have a bunch of Lexicanum pages opened or saved on my tabs because I'm writing stories, characters, and worlds. Especially for Eldars since Lexicanum even has pictures of models (old and new) and sources for books on Eldars stuff they mentioned. But man...

@renwillis on my dogmatic run I killed her almost immediately. On my chaotic run, I ended up giving her soulstone to She Who Thirsts.
I'm a monster.
BUT I'm finally on an iconoclast run again. I'll do EVERYTHING for her.
Heinrich was not amused when I put the Eldars in charge of Janus.

Warhammer the old World: Algo de reyes funerarios
Blow Bowl: Equipo con garrapatos
Warhammer40K: Custodes
Sigmar: Enanos
