Even a rabid belief in predatory capitalism doesn't fully explain it. Some bizarre form of modern feudalism; a system to maintain the dominance of the elite. Desperate, poor, sick, uneducated, and indoctrinated people are easier to rule. It's Elesium, but without the space station.

Fellow Survival Horror geeks, I just found out about Silver Pines! Put Silent Hill, Metroid, Alan Wake, a dash Disco Elesium art-style all together and you have what looks to be a good horror game. Also, you can pet the cats.

For the record I think your takes are very positive and I follow you for that. But people can't pay 3k a month for a 1br and it's grinding hard. The future Utopia isn't here yet. It's tough at most homes, so elesium and visions of men on Mars are still just Sci fi for most of us.
