in retrospect I should have given up on the mc ever getting any proper character development the instant he bragged about always using a docking computer, everyone knows manually landing your ship without blowing up is the most fun part of

I read a couple of the novels and enjoyed them just fine but the "protag is the specialest boy that ever specialed" story beats eventually get way out of hand, so I stopped.

elite:dangerous is still one of the best VR games, imo. Hotas + headset is just a great combo
