In an uncertain world of what’s real or not, I’d thought I’d show my face among my embroideries, the stitcher behind the stories. An imperfect embroidery artist that loves colourful threads, nature and tales. I use my hands to create & dream…🪡🌿🌺 #embroidery #art #thesewingsongbird

Haha, I thought these were hand stitched embroideries at first. :v

There's plenty more for you to show off! Your good doggo, the fun embroideries you're working on, your academic work you've been mentioning from time to time, maybe even places you go on walks with the dog as well!

Today I saw 3 excellent embroideries. I was nervous about the Bayeux Tapestry ‘experience’ after feedback from previous visitors, but mine was very positive and it was great to get so close. The Baa-Ewe Tapestry is fun and the start of the Beer Tapestry could be a contender for the BT’s lost finale!

Everyone has loved the embroideries of your birds so I am sure they will!

My most recent embroideries! Still got lots feelings after the TADC finale (in case that wasn't obvious). Still some flaws here but learnt a lot so next time I try they should turn out even better (without fabric pull). Hope you enjoy!

From the archive, taken from a quartet of embroideries representing different elements, (and just because it’s a bit windy here 😉) I give you The Guardian of Air, for your viewing today. I hope you feel the freshness of the breeze… 🌬️🪡🍃 #stitchedart #embroidery #thesewingsongbird

Another of my Bayeux tapestry embroideries done a few years ago. Wool on calico - fabric I love using.

I always wanted A History of England in 25 Poems to be the start of a conversation - hence the blank pages in the back of the book - and I've been blown away by the many creative and generous responses. These embroideries, by Jane Mayhew, are amazing, opening up so many new ways of seeing the past.

I managed to take a better picture of the embroideries I shared yesterday. Looking at them all together like this makes me VERY happy. 🥰
