The excise board voted in an emergency meeting on Oct. 29 to approve resolution 2026‑4360, adopting estimated needs for FY 2026–27 that include total appropriations not to exceed $155,729,421 and a 10.35 mill general-fund levy.

In a special meeting the board approved an emergency resolution authorizing the chair to apply for and, if awarded, accept up to $74,000,000 in FAA Airport Improvement Program funding for the Runway 13/31 modernization at Aspen–Pitkin County Airport.
