Entyloma ranunculacearum on Ranunculus acris. This is one of the rarer Entyloma species on the Ranunculaceae, much less common than the equivalent E. eburneum on Ranunculus repens.

Entyloma fumariae yesterday in the nice weather. This had just two British records before Chris and I started recording it, but it actually appears to be widespread and common.

It was a very enjoyable spring walk after work this afternoon. It was needed after I had an intense 3 weeks of work. I found some nice plant pathogens. Puccinia albescens and P. adoxae on Moschatel, Adoxa moschatellina, and Entyloma ficariae on Lesser Celandine, Ficaria verna. #fungifriends

The rather rare Entyloma ranunculacearum on Ranunculus acris was a highlight, only the second time I've seen it

On R. acris this is Entyloma ranunculacearum. Very nice leaf sections!

Entyloma bellidis on cultivated Bellis perennis, new to Ireland. This seems to have come in with bedding plants, so it may not be a native species. #FungiFriends

One of the Christmassier plant pathogens - Sea Holly Leaf Smut. Collected in July but it's taken until today for me to get around to processing it...

I'm enjoying digital illustration a lot right now. This is an undescribed species of Entyloma I found in the summer, on Brackish Water-crowfoot (Ranunculus baudotii).

Infected with the leaf smut fungus Entyloma ranunculi-scelerati – please record, preferably on iNaturalist. There are only 22 British records.

I can't believe it's that time of the year again but Lesser Celandine is coming up everywhere! Here are some of the fungal and oomycetous pathogens to look out for on its leaves. #fungifriends #plantpathogens

potentially infected by the rare fungus Entyloma myosuri 🤔 would require confirmation with microscopy
