William & Mary researchers sought funding to update a statewide diamondback terrapin habitat model; the board expressed concerns about fund source and regulatory implications and voted to refer the funding question to the Recreational Fishing Advisory Board for further input.

Consultant Joe Burgess told the Rochelle Park Land Use Board that base maps, land-use and environmental mapping and socioeconomic work are mostly done; he said a recent court decision about "inherently beneficial" uses will require the township to analyze which zones should permit those uses and to add that analysis to the master plan.

Preservation Maryland said it used ABPP funding and Washington College GIS tools to layer historic maps, model shoreline change and propose signage at Piney Point; organizers said the community asked to limit direct island access.
