#Epimanes
I'm confused.
What does the word "protected" mean?

Eh! First, it was the #buffalo. Now it's the #horses.

Are there some people who wake up each morning and think:
WHAT CAN I DESTROY TODAY?

#POTUS #Trump🐐🟠 - Yeah #Epimanes. I'm talking AT YOU!
@DaniMayakovski
Translated
According to The New York Times, the Trump regime is hunting protected wild horses and sending them to the slaughterhouse; the government sells these horses at a low price ($25) and they end up in trucks far from the border to be sacrificed.

Horses are such magnificent majestic creatures. Who would want to intentionally slaughter them? It happened. It’s American history.

104: The Seleucid Empire - Madness and the Divine

The murder of Seleucus IV in 175 by a corrupt official paved the way for Antiochus IV to usurp the throne of Syria from his nephew. Known by the epithet Epiphanes (God Manifest), Polybius scorns him as Epimanes (The Madman)

"[Antiochus IV] was at once a man of peace and a man of war. He rejoiced in the peace provided that he was not provoked; in war he was courageous..."

genial pun: "epiPHanes" <> "epiManes".. especially considering greek letters shapes for phi & mu.. modern pundits should take a page from Polybius..!

Fun fact, Antiochus IV, the target of the Maccabee revolt, took the name "Epiphanes" ("God manifest") but his enemies called him "Epimanes" ("the madman"), so they've been doing "Drumpf" for thousands of years

19. Polybius’ pun on Antiochus IV Epiphanes being known as epimanes (the mad one) is well known. But did you know Theodotion Daniel and Second Maccabees call him (or things to do with him) consistently hypophanes (the arrogant one)?

Amused to learn that Antiochus IV, the ruler against whom the Maccabees rebelled, liked to be known as Epiphanes (the manifestation of God) but was popularly referred to as Epimanes (the loony).

Let's start calling #donOLD "Epimanes"?

Why?
Because historically Antiochus used the title Epiphanes ("God Manifest"), while his Jewish contemporaries mockingly referred to him as Epimanes ("The Madman").
