Etruscans in Britain confirmed
Metal vessel from the Melsonby Hoards: one of the largest Iron Age metalwork deposits found in Britain #FindsFriday 🏺 #Archaeology

Unusual for Britain, it shares similarities with Etruscan cauldrons used to mix wine, hinting at cultural connections to the continent.

Only fitting for a notoriously Silent civilization to get the absolute longest script I've ever written for a single video – it's time to talk about the Etruscans!

First-time convergence of my two special interests: the Etruscans and the Simpsons.
I don't think I've seen the Simpsons episode where Lisa got access to a time machine ;)

i just learned that one of the earliest known sewage systems was built by the Etruscans and called the Cloaca Maxima, which is probably the best possible name for a sewage system. So big ups to the Etruscans for nailing that one right out of the gate.

It’s a shame the Etruscans lived in Italy, because I feel like we collectively all go “here’s some Etruscan shit that rules. Anyways, Rome…”

I mostly blame Christianity. The prior civilizations (Etruscans, Egyptians, etc) all revered women, and most of the iconography and art is about or depicts women.

Fast forward to men cosplaying in dresses in the Vatican. 🚫✝️🚫

The ancient Etruscans in Italy were the first to make false teeth starting in 700 BCE. This reproduction shows their method of using gold wires for attachment.

America for refusing to be British. Then the UK is transgender for refusing to remain French after 1066. And France is trans for refusing the Roman Empire. The Romans? Trans Etruscans.
