Radioisotopes, like technetium-99m (scans) and iodine-131 (used for thyroid cancer), are crucial for various cancer treatments.
Before brexit they were supplied via Belgium and the Netherlands, within the Euratom framework.

25 marca 1957 r. podpisano dwa traktaty: Europejską Wspólnotę Gospodarczą i Euratom. To one położyły podwaliny pod Unię Europejską. Na Planet+ jest dostępny bardzo dobry dokument, ukazujący kulisy długich negocjacji, które doprowadziły do podpisania Traktatów Rzymskich. Szczerze polecam.

The notice seems to note that all member states adhere to nuclear nonproliferation treaty, and specifically also notes that established nuclear states at the time of NTP signing are exempt.

Binding Poland is in crucial. I've heard a lot of American defence analysts recently speculate about Polish nukes who don't seem to be aware of how Euratom has integrated much of the supply chain needed for that into a dispersed European level

Why I think the Nordics at least, preferably reinforced with Poland, Baltics and whoever wants to join, ought to develop nuclear weapons in a joint project - and why I really don't think it would be impossible for renegotiate the Euratom treaty and leave the NPT. It has the Article X for a reason.
Of course leaving the NPT and renegotiating Euratom would require diplomacy. But if the Nordics together, let alone Nordics+Poland+Baltics do a joint project and negotiate as a bloc, would the rest of the EU really take a *much* harder stance than towards Hungary? Let alone throw us out?

The issue here is nuclear industry supply chains are so distributed and integrated across Europe, driven by Euratom frameworks, that Finland, Poland or any other individual states would need the tacit or open cooperation of several European partners in a nuke programme. It's Euronukes or nothing
