First time in about 25yrs I've missed a BCS conference but that's what happens when multiple carto orgs schedule conferences against one another. We really need better coordination to prevent this cannibalisation. Have fun in Edinburgh. Waving from Brno 👋 #carto2026 #EuroCarto2026

Great #Eurocarto2026 pre-con workshop today by Commissions on Geovisualization, and Map Design on "Prompt Cartography". 30+ participants with open minds on the pros, and cons of AI in Cartography going forward. Good discussions, and practical experimentation.

Well that was fun! Thankfully the place filled up after what I am told was a VERY late night for those who went to the #Eurocarto2026 gala dinner last night. As Sergeant Murtagh would say... "I'm too old for this shi..." 🤣
