The EU has been making treaty after treaty for 60 years and still falls short of democratic requirements. We now need a #EuropeanConstitution.

Correction: the 1790 "#Hamilton moment" saw the federalisation of the debt of US States, NOT the move from confederalism to federalism.
Likewise, federalised debt would NOT make the #EU a federation: it must become one but, for that, we need a #EuropeanConstitution. #ToFedEU 🇪🇺

"Some argued that it would only make sense for the #EUCouncil to have a leading role". This is why we need #treatychange: because the Council, crippled by unanimity, still tries to lead everywhere. A #europeandemocracy needs a #EuropeanConstitution and the Parliament at its core.
