Discussion of Resolution 26 ERC 31, a proposed economic development agreement for Goodwin Bowen Evansville LLC (the Republic), focused on a possible increase to a previously authorized $5 million bond issue. Commissioners postponed action and voted to table the item pending additional information and a returned resolution with amended bond terms.

The City of Evansville Redevelopment Commission approved Resolution 26 ERC 29 to create an economic development and allocation area for Brown Capital Group’s proposed 240‑unit, market‑rate development at the promenade. The move clears the parcel to use tax increment financing toward project bonds; a confirmatory resolution will follow.

Resolution C2026-15 creating the Republic Economic Development Area and allocation area was adopted 8–0; city staff said the Republic project is a market-rate, 153-unit mixed-use development on Vogel Road and financing will be presented at a later meeting.
