yesterday, this is how i learned that a rapist who’s been trying to sue his way off the sex offender registry is apparently also going to run for MN governor in 2026 as a republican candidate & he blocked me after i told him god doesn’t love him

HENNEPIN COUNTY Felon charged with threatening officials wives A convicted sex offender showed up at the homes of County attorney, who successfully prosecuted Evenstad in 1999 for Hennepin County Sheriff Richard Stanek and a county attorney last week, threatening the men's wives, according to charges filed in Ramsey County District Court. first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The Thomas W. Evenstad, 48, was charged Monday with two counts of terroristic threats. According to the complaint: Evenstad appeared at Stanek's home about 5:20 p.m. on March 14. Stanck was not home. His wife answered the door, and spoke with Evenstad, who told her he wanted to speak with the sheriff about an alleged crime committed against Evenstad's sister. Evenstad was "oddly dressed," and vacillated between calm and irate, charges said. He said Stanek ruined his life, and initially refused to leave when the sheriff's wife asked him to. He eventually left. At 5:34 p.m. that same day, Evenstad allegedly appeared at the home of an assistant Hennepin County attorney, who successfully prosecuted Evenstad in 1999 for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The attorney was not home. His wife answered the door and their children were home at the time, charges said. Evenstad told the woman he was wrongfully convicted and was at the home to "let [the prosecutor] make things right." Evenstad was sentenced to about 11½ years in prison in that case, and was civilly committed upon his release. Evenstad left when the woman said she was calling 911. She told authorities that she felt threatened by his presence and behavior. He also went to the governor's residence earlier that afternoon, but left when a state trooper told him via intercom that he would not be admitted through the locked gate.

Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir 2011, Willamette Valley, Oregon #AgedWineTuesday Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity. Pretty color. Strong nose of red fruits with earth, light wood, light Mediterranean spices, mushrooms, earth and herbs. Light to medium in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light green tea and earth. Nice finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries. This is a delicious 15 year old Pinot Noir from Oregon. Nicely balanced and elegant. Feels like a red Burgundy, which I loved. Complex and interesting. Tangy and spicy. I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent. Drinking beautifully now, and will continue to do so in the next 10 years. Wine Enthusiasts 91 points. Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food. Pinot Noir grapes were aged in (55% new) French oak barrels for 15 months. 13.1% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $145.

Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir 2021, Willamette Valley, Oregon Ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim. Fresh red berries on the nose and medium in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing fresh cherries, sweet raspberries, light wood, tobacco, black pepper, chocolates, spices, light earth and herbs. Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This young Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely now, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Rich and fruity, smooth and spicy. Nicely balanced and complex, soft and elegant. I've had a few vintages of this Pinot Noir and it is so much better with age. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Wine Enthusiasts 93 points. Robert Parker 93 points. Wine Spectator 92 points. A good quality wine. Good right out of the bottle, and better with some airtime. Interesting, easy drinking and a good sipping wine. Pinot Noir grapes were aged in (55% new) French oak barrels for 16 months. 14.1% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $95.
