A fabulous walk around #ExminsterMarshes in the (relative) warmth. 35 species topped by Marsh Harrier and a surprise female Goldeneye (thanks @seaskywatch.bsky.social !). Every sort of goose but White-fronted 😂.

A two hour walk walk around Exminster Marshes in the glorious sunshine. At least three Hobby hawking overhead, Reed (seen) and Sedge Warbler (not seen!) giving it all they had from the reeds. Soul lifting.

The canal (see last post) was more atmospheric in the morning mist than I managed to capture. The Purple Heron sat in a tree for quite a while before flying off.

Early start this morning to try for closer views of the Purple Heron on Exminster Marshes.I couldn't find it & walked in the wrong direction.Another birder found it & I hurtled back along towpath to see it in a tree.
