Means testing isn’t about making sure “undeserving” people (no such thing) don’t get benefits. It’s simply to keep numbers of benefit receivers low. You want a barrier for services, you put in an extra step.
means testing is inherently flawed because: not everybody who needs is able or capable of fulfilling it, in fact the most in need are the least capable; bc it's overall WAY more expensive than just giving people fucking food etc; bc bureaucratic delays mean death for many; and bc I don't give a--
