Today marks two years since my constituent, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, was killed by the IDF in the West Bank. There still has been no independent investigation or accountability for her killing.

This is something I will continue to fight for, in her memory and to prevent further tragedy.

New — 100+ groups are demanding Marco Rubio act to release 16-year-old & fellow Floridian Muhammad Ibrahim from Israeli detention.

Signers include: Jewish Voice for Peace Action; Veterans for Peace; and the family of Aysenur Eygi, the 26-year-old American peace activist killed by Israeli soldiers.
6 months ago, in the shadow of the night, Israeli soldiers took 16-year-old American Muhammad Zaher Ibrahim from his family. He’s been imprisoned ever since. He’s suffered from scabies & lost 25 pounds.

Remember Sayfollah Musallet, the young American killed by settlers last month? They’re cousins.

American peace activist Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi would've turned 27 today. But Israeli forces killed her 11 months ago.

Both Biden & Trump did nothing to seek accountability.

Instead the US sent Israel $12 billion in weapons & another $4 billion in aid.

And then Israeli settlers killed another American.

Jarring fact: Gaza flotilla organizer Huwaida Arraf was on the flotilla Israel attacked in 2010.
She also co-founded the group that young American peace activists Rachel Corrie & Aysenur Eygi were *both* part of when Israel killed them — in 2003 & 2024.

We're in a shocking meeting point of history.
NEWS: The Freedom Flotilla Coalition are in plans to "absolutely" send more ships to Gaza, says organizer Huwaida Arraf — despite the bombing of a ship last month & Israel intercepting the flotilla yesterday.

“…Let it not be one boat. Let it be hundreds or thousands of boats breaking the siege.”

Near White House — Rep. Rashida Tlaib honors Ayşenur Eygi, killed by IDF 101 days ago.

“President Biden recently said ‘if you harm an American, we will respond.’ But in his inaction, has made it clear once again that when it comes to the Israeli government murdering Americans, it's a complete lie.”

“Silence [about Ayşenur Eygi] has continued into the second Trump admin., which has not publicly pushed for justice for Eygi, nor for several other Americans…”

@premthakker.bsky.social writes how the US refuses to hold Israel accountable for Ayşenur Eygi's murder.

Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi was unjustly killed by the IDF 132 days ago, yet there has still been zero accountability. We must move with more urgency after the murder of a U.S. citizen.

Today, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi should've turned 28.

She was killed by Israel on September 6 2024 while peacefully protesting against illegal Israeli settlements near the city of Beita, in the occupied West Bank, Palestine.

We remember Ayşenur today & always in the struggle for Palestinian liberation.
