I wish the writers hadn't bundled K² with the first kiss. We all wanted a K² episode but not at the expense of such a huge milestone moment for Thyme & Gorya. #F4ThailandEP13 🔚

While you wait for #F4Thailandashtag/F4ThailandEp13" class="hover:underline text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400 no-card-link">#F4ThailandEp13 to drop, why not listen to our deep dive on #F4Thailand eps. 1-9 (including our thoughts on the ep. 7 Twitter blowup and whether That Scene was worth including).

Thyme and Gorya spent almost all of #F4ThailandEp13 talking about K² and trying to solve their problems instead of focusing on each other when they had just gotten together. It didn't make sense at this point in the story.

#F4ThailandEP12 had rising tension leading to Thyme putting the necklace on Gorya but no kiss. Don't know why that choice was made bc it would've made more sense to have the kiss then, esp. because the next ep drained away all the tension by moving focus to K² #F4ThailandEP13 🔽

Finally you get the little brush on the lips and it's sweet, funny and awkward. The whole scene built momentum and tension and even though the lip brush is silly it's still an emotional moment that has an impact. The creators took their time and let it breathe. #F4ThailandEP13 🔽

By the way, there's a split with the podcast crew. Two people are sitting with me on Team We Needed More and two people are Team Awkward Innocent Kiss @moviemavengal @roh_tweets @ThatVickeyGirl @kaymatthews #F4Thailandashtag/F4ThailandEP13" class="hover:underline text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400 no-card-link">#F4ThailandEP13 #F4Thailand

Compare the pacing of the #F4ThailandEP13 kiss vs. the ep 5 near-kiss in the storeroom. First you have that huge dramatic moment when Thyme rescues Gorya and then you have this very intimate, tender conversation with the star lights and the music... 🔽

There's a false dichotomy being set up between innocent/awkward vs sexy that misses the point about why many of us were dissatisfied with the first kiss. I didn't need sexy but I did need it to be a bigger moment than we got. #F4Thailandashtag/F4ThailandEP13" class="hover:underline text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400 no-card-link">#F4ThailandEP13 #F4Thailand

Kaning wearing a star earring in the rooftop scene. She is also a meteor. #F4ThailandEP13

Somehow I missed the woman in bed with Kavin after Mona visits him, woo. #F4ThailandEP13

🧵Um, I didn't like the kiss scene. Why? It wasn't given enough room to breathe. We should have seen gradually increasing tension bet. T&G until the kiss and then more time after the kiss was over to appreciate it. (I was fine with first kiss dorkiness) #F4ThailandEP13 🔽

Thyme x Gorya wore blue and pink in this episode. But you know who else did? Ren. Get ready. #F4Thailandashtag/F4ThailandEP13" class="hover:underline text-blue-600 dark:text-sky-400 no-card-link">#F4ThailandEP13 #F4Thailand

Someone shared this on Discord and I'm dying (for me the big brain chunks would be THYME 🔥🔥🔥 and GORYA ILUUUUU but otherwise pretty on point)

I've been going on about how I wanted more character development for Gorya & this scene from #F4ThailandEp13 is a great example of what I mean. She learns to back off & allow Thyme to support her. I really wanted more of this but it got lost.
